MODE: |
CW – SSB – MIXED |
DATE: |
23 febraury 2025 |
START: |
From: 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC |
OBJECTIVE: |
For radio amateurs worldwide to do contacts in the contest using their skills in a weekend of great fun. |
BANDS: |
3.5; 7, 14, 21, AND 28 MHz. Complying with the international amateur band plan. |
EXCHANGE: |
In each QSO, contesters must exchange RS(T) and a fixed series corresponding to their abbreviated GRID LOCATOR: CW: RST + fixed series, first 4 characters of the Grid Locator of the operating location. E.g., 599 FF60 SSB: RS + fixed series, first 4 characters of the Grid Locator of the operating location. E.g., 59 FF60 |
SCORING: |
The final score will be the result of the total KILOMETERS between Grid Locators, multiplied by the sum of the multipliers in each band and Mode. Example: 1000 (Km) QSO * (25 Grid Locator) = 25,000 (final score). In case of a tie, it will be decided by the shorter time between the first and last QSO. |
POINTS: |
The score generated for each QSO will be equal to the amount of kilometers between the Grid Locators of the stations participating in the QSO. |
MULTIPLIERS: |
The FIRST QSO with each Grid Locator will be a multiplier. The participant’s own Grid Locator does not count as a multiplier. |
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VALIDITY OF CONTACTS: |
The participant’s log must match the station worked call sign, the received exchange, and the UTC time with a tolerance of 3 minutes. Deadline: up to 7 days after the contest date. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered. Logs must be prepared only in Cabrillo format, using any program that meets the required data. You can see software HERE |

GENERAL RULES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS: |
Participants must have a valid license for their call sign or special call sign from the local regulatory authority on the contest date and operate within the limits of the chosen category to avoid affecting their submitted score. One participant should use one call sign for each entry. Only the participant’s call sign can be used to contribute to the contest score. Only one call sign is allowed on one band at a time. Do not exceed the total output power limits of the category on any band. The total output power is measured at any time on any band at the final output of active amplifiers. Self-spotting or requesting to be spotted in any way is not allowed. However, the use of any technology or source providing the operator with identification of call signs or multipliers is allowed. This includes, among others, the use of CW decoders, DX clusters, Web-based DX announcement systems (e.g., DX Summit), local or remote decoding technology of call signs and frequencies (e.g., CW Skimmer or Reverse Beacon Network). All operations must be performed from a physical location where all transmitters, receivers, and antennas are located at the same station. Respect all station license limitations, operator call sign, and category. Remote receivers outside the station’s location are not allowed. Calling on two or more frequencies on one band is not allowed. Contacts and exchanges must be made during the event using the contest mode and frequencies. Correction of logged call signs and exchanges after the contest using any database, recordings, email, or other confirmation methods is not allowed. QSO corrections are not allowed. Logged call signs must be the same as those exchanged on the air by participants during the QSO. For the 40-meter band, transmitting above 7200 KHz during the contest is not allowed. |
CABRILLO INSTRUCTIONS: |
Participants must upload their logs at the following link UPLOAD LOG. The log must show the following for each contact: date and time in UTC, frequency, call sign of the worked station, sent series, and received exchange. A log without all the required information may be reclassified as Checklog. Single-band participants must include all contacts made during the contest period, even if they are on other bands. Only contacts made on the specified band in the Cabrillo header will be considered for scoring. Logs with contacts on only one band will be classified as single-band entries. The CABRILLO file format is the standard for logs. Web upload is the only method of log submission. All received logs will be confirmed via email. Confirmation of received logs: Confirmation will be sent via email. A list of received logs can be found at this LINK. Corrected logs will be sent to each participant for them to evaluate their operation; the robot system will do this automatically to the email address provided by the participant. They will be available upon request via email. In a written note, participants must state the reason for requesting someone else’s log and the point to be reviewed; this note will be considered a complaint. It is at the organization’s discretion whether to send it or not, depending on the nature of the complaint. Log withdrawal: A participant can withdraw the submitted log for any reason within 7 days after the log submission deadline by notifying the Contest Committee at info@worldwideargentina.com.ar |
